LAKOTA  STONE NATION

Harmony     Balance      Abundance     Peace
  Support         Create          Grow       Live

Mission Statement:

Joining the hearts, hands, wisdom and resources of those who respect the gift of life and value Mother Earth we gather the abundance of Inyan Oyate (Stone Nation) and walk this back to support, honor and assist her indigenous caretakers with the preservation work given them by Creator, in 8ne-ness.

WHY WALK THE STONES IN A GOOD WAY?

Lakota Stone Nation works to bring back into mainstream thought process an awareness and appreciation for the 8ne-ness that we are, as well as actively support cultures of precious earth wisdom held by those remaining, aged and simple few who still know how to practice "the old ways" of walking in a sacred manner in good relationship and kinship, in harmony, balance, abundance and peace with all natural resources and all our relations -
Mitakuye Oyasin.

Mother Earth now makes major adjustments to preserve life in all it's diversity and re-balance herself as natural resources have been continually consumed and/or destroyed by the dominance of an infectious materialistic theology.  As the short sighted, greedy, ignorant, thoughtless, egotistic, and self-righteous mindset of humans around the globe continually rape the land, fear of lack, unrest, and sorrow abound in this mindset as life force appears diminished.

Many peaceful, tribal, ancient peoples understood sacred relationship with the natural forces (energies) resident in and on Mother Earth,  and the practical and harmonious laws of reciprocity.  A stone was not lifted, nor a plant harvested without first an offering of appreciation being given "back" to Mother Earth, in order to recognize Mitakuye Oyasin - we are all related, all are "relatives".  It was understood no gift is received without "cost" to another creation, life system, force, entity.

In Native American cultures ceremony was born in this, and usually a piece of hair or fingernail was placed respectfully upon the ground before "taking" anything from it.  Later tobacco was placed on the earth, along with a "prayer" or open acknowledgement that the gifts of life came not from our hands, but was a miracle of creation from which each one living stands as a benefactor.

This tradition was carried through various religions even to our day when people used to "give thanks" before a meal was consumed.  However, lack of appreciation for the gifts of life and good relationship have dwindled these practices to almost non-existent, let alone the wise thought processes of good relationship that gave birth to these rituals, and the reverent reflection of beauty and health-mindedness behind them (sacred feeling).

Thus humankind has developed a fear of nature, her diversity of creatures and natural powers (the change of seasons, the flow of rivers, the passing of time and season, day and night cycles, the circle of life and death, predator and prey relationships that worked so well within a reciprocal and balanced ecosystem, etc. )

Building and inventing to "conquer" nature instead of be in good relationship with these "powers" , humans have replaced the life relationship ceremonies with fear based beliefs, and developed intricate "religious" martyr beliefs to match them.  Perhaps this fear is fed by our subconscious that "knows" we have not appropriately upheld our part of the reciprocity arrangement, nor established nor built good relationship with all our relations in the natural world.

Perhaps the sub-conscious "understands" we have not appropriately fulfilled our role as caretakers of Mother Earth.

Thus, in our striving under the guise of "progress" humans have caused the extinction of millions of plant and animal species earth wide.  Now, these tumultuous times of great earth change, as predicted by many ancient prophecies, has brought increased earthquakes, severe weather changes, volcanic activities  portending great danger for the very existence and diversity of life itself.  Perhaps these are "messages" and reminders from the stone "energies" of Mother Earth, that we need to re-align ourselves to live in harmony with the natural order of things once again.

For the past few centuries the abundant gifts of stones (gold, silver, gems, oil, water and mineral - the very "star stuff" of which we are all made) have been unceremoniously torn, mined and damned from sacred sites around the globe in the false belief that this somehow "enriches" it's holders.  As the reversals of the very economic systems based on the false religion of progress and based on the lie of lack and its resultant greed becomes clearly evident, now is the time for fully understanding how these practices have harmed not only those who have become "rich" but how this has brought stress, poverty, abuse and dis-ease to all life forms on our precious, priceless and sacred Mother Earth.

A true St8newalker works to bring back into mainstream thought process an awareness and appreciation for the cultures of precious earth wisdom held by those remaining, aged and simple few who still know how to practice "the old ways" of walking in a sacred manner in good relationship and kinship, in harmony, balance, abundance and peace with all natural resources and all our relations - Mitakuye Oyasin.  Please join us, become a St8newalker with us to heal these things in a good way.

Our goals are to gather the abundance of stones and "walk them back" - allowing those who have "taken" to reciprocate and thus begin the process by which human-kind may re-build a good relationship (good conscience) with creation.

In turn, this abundance shared will be used to help almost extinct earth and life honoring cultures so that their wise ones may organize to effect and teach this generation of human-kind to again walk in a sacred manner, living a new life-style combining many ancient wisdoms within the dominant existing culture so as to do no harm to each other, Mother Earth, and all our relations and thus help to preserve and restore life in all it's beauty and diversity.

If you value these ideals and principals, we ask you to join us.  To join Lakota Stone Nation as a St8newalker please send back to the sacred Black Hills a portion of what you can from some of the abundance of stones that have already been abundantly gifted to you by Mother Earth so that we may meet our Mission Statement and Goals.
