LAKOTA STONE NATION
Harmony Balance Abundance Peace Mission Statement: Joining the hearts, hands, wisdom and resources of those who respect the gift of life and value Mother Earth we gather the abundance of Inyan Oyate (Stone Nation) and walk this back to support, honor and assist her indigenous caretakers with the preservation work given them by Creator, in 8ne-ness. |

We have been working diligently and prayerfully with Chief Richard Grass to get his web site up www.richardgrass.com and attempt to devise a way to receive support for the Lakota-Dakota-Nakota Nation of which he is the dynastic Grand Chief and Treaty Chief for the L.D.N. Nation, still a sovereign nation and still located (in captivity on reservations) within the heart of the U.S. proper while the treaties in force continue to be ignored by the other signing party. Most of the descendants of people of the L.D.N. nation continue to live under military control in a police state in their designated reservations, living in the worst kind of third world poverty while the culture and traditions and way of life of the Lakota continues to be assimilated, destroyed, ignored and intermixed with the "ideals' of the dominant culture in the midst of and in spite of the fact that millions of dollars are sent to 'tribal officials" and squandered on worthless projects used as a ruse to line the pockets of a few in power while presuming to help a nation still held in a destructive stranglehold of poverty and it's resultant mal-nourishment, high infant mortality, diabetes and a multitude of other related health problems including rampant despair and lack of hope and initiative, crime, drug and alcohol abuse among our younger, non-traditionally trained youth.
As the aging traditional and spiritual
and little known real and dynastic Grand Chief of this nation Chief
Grass has NOT until now widely publicized his hereditary dynastic
position as traditional Grand Chief nor has he associated himself
all these years with any of the current oppressive and well
funded tribal politics, the American Indian Movement nor any protest
movements nor does he have 501c status as he is Chief of a still
sovereign nation.
His behind the scenes work is with the
international community and the United Nations in his ongoing quest
towards raising awareness about the truth of this nation and it's
ongoing oppression under the dominating culture surrounding and
destroying it while he lives himself in "poverty" by
today's'
standards while working with any and all resources he has in
organizing international tribunals (much like the tribunals that
were held at Nuremburg after the war to bring to light Nazi
invasiveness and war crimes in Germany) in an ongoing attempt to
finally get a fair international hearing on the ongoing abuse,
neglect and dishonoring of the legal treaty rights that were signed
in good faith by his ancestor Chief John Grass and other tribal
chiefs signed with the United States Government that has done all
BUT honor the treaties. The treaty lands addressed in that treaty
continue to be occupied by the offspring of those who have not
honored that treaty and our sacred lands and the sacred Black Hills
continue to be "developed" bought and sold as a mere
possession and
it's rich resources assimilated and shipped around the world without
benefit, consent nor blessing of those who legally hold title to
these vast and richly diverse treaty lands that stretch across
several "state" imposed lines.
It does not bide well within
the traditional Lakota culture for a Chief to go begging for money
or support as much weight is given to trusting Creator with the
right timing and the most peaceful, wise and prudent ways and means
for all things to occur in harmony. In the olden days the true and
highly respected Chiefs lived in the poorest condition as ALL their
resources were used to benefit the people under their charge. This
stands true today also for Chief John Grass's descendant,
Chief Richard Grass who,
like the majority of his people in traditional Lakota-Dakota-Nakota
households, lives in the "poorest" of "government housing' by
today's standards, subsisting day to day on food commodities
provided by the dominating culture since the old ways of life and
our brothers the buffalo nation have also been all but wiped off of
these treaty lands.
Of late the dream time has activated
good hearts in activities and good actions to work towards bringing
out the truth of these things as this time. As a labor of love and
volunteerism we have created the beginnings of this support site to try
to help raise some operating funds to help Chief Grass with his
living expenses (www.lakotastonenation.com)
while we focus all our time and energies now to try to publish
a long held book telling the 'Indian" version of the history of
interaction between the U.S. and our nation and the details,
cultural protocol and spiritual perspectives in play in our tribal
nations in and around the Battle of the Little Bighorn (where the
famous General Armstrong Custer and many others needlessly lost life).
If words, promises, treaties with the people for these Treaty Lands that were made had only been kept none of these problems or projects would be necessary.
For the international community to come
to our aide and to better learn the truth of this ongoing struggle
for the L.D.N. nation to be fairly recognized and for the treaty to
be honored, we need international exposure and support. This is why
we are responding today without resources except what talents
and abilities we now hold in our hands and hearts to attempt to use
the current technology to educate, and garner some recognition and
support.
If there is any way you can help us, we
would be most appreciative, either with ideas, support, or technical
expertise in making our web sites more accessible to the
international community.
Mitakuye Oyasin, St8newalker, Webmaster As a child did you ever pick up a stone in awe? Did you have a humble or "sacred" feeling while doing so? Some, not understanding how to "walk the stones in a sacred manner" have responded to the power of stones by infusing and using them with their own fear, and thus they have used stones to do great harm. Think about it - stones are the source, foundation and "life blood" of buildings, commerce (gold, silver), roadways, dams, sculpture, monument, memorial, ceremony, or simple "stone soup", and humans have used or "walked" stones in many ways that have not always benefited themselves or life until now. Stones are the stuff of stars, the skeletal structure of Mother Earth and in many creation stories of old, stones represent the gentle, nurturing feminine energies and are said to give their "life blood" to create everything in existence. Thus, just as the bones in the human body create the blood that courses through our veins, Stone Nation supports, sustains and "gives life" to Mother Earth and all life forms thereupon - thus Inyan Oyate, Stone Nation, is sacred just as blood is sacred, and it is our belief that humankind out of balance now needs to learn how to treat sacred things with deep and humble respect. No more time is left for spilling or wasting away of blood and life force energies, nor for throwing stones at one another. Stones are the stuff of creation, and we can choose to "walk" them to support, create, grow, live. Mothers have always known this, and good Mothers' continue to train their children to keep away from fighting and destroying one another's' energies and property. It is mostly Mothers who have been the ones who cleaned up all the messes of wars, and cried the majority of tears when the promised "freedom" from these futile things of dies-harmony did not bring about the intended "freedom" that was promised in justifying the skirmishes. And, now with the many earth changes the great Earth Mother is asserting herself to "clean up" the messes of humankind. These earth changes tell us it is time to honor life, blood, Harmony, Balance, Abundance and Peace as Creator has intended for human-kind all along. Now is the time for humans, two-leggeds, to learn and walk in kindness and good relationship. We may now begin by learning to walk the stones with respect and dignity for healing ourselves, our families, our neighborhoods, countries, our world. When sacred things are not treated with respect, harm and dis-ease always follow, and this is a now well documented and proven fact in this seventh generation. It is not surprising, then, that the dominant feature of the sacred c’anunpa contains red stone that represents this receptive, subtle, peaceful yet very powerful feminine "life-blood" energy. Some in the English language refer to this by calling it a sacred "pipe", but this c’anunpa is highly revered and was gifted the Lakota people by the red stone from Pipestone quarry, from stone nation, long before White Buffalo Calf woman came many years ago on her last visit to the people, to teach them the old sacred ways for that time period in which to remember and honor the gift of life given us by Creator and be in good relationship with Mitakuye Oyasin, all our relations (we are all relatives). In many religions 7 has been considered a sacred number - yet in every instance, over time we have seen all religions with their 7 sacred ceremonies defrauded and misused by two-leggeds, and even the sacred c’anunpa highly disrespected and abused right along with woman kind. The true pure, dignified, respectful and life honoring Feminine energies have been forgotten even by those born as women. Now is the time for all to learn to walk the 8th way, 8th Ceremony, in oneness, Harmony, Balance, Abundance, Peace, Support, Create, Grow, Live and learn to walk with humility and prayerful respect on our Mother Earth. Now is the time to walk past the things that have proven to not work, change our life-style, do away with corrupted life-ways, religions and "ceremonies" and bring ourselves into BE-ing the spiritual powers we can be within our human form, for goodness for our selves, our families, tiospaye (community), and all our relations all around the world. When we learn how to walk in a good way, each moment of every day, in respect of life, we become...We ARE - the ceremony. Thus, as prophesied, since people have not let the tongue in their shoes follow the tongue in their mouths, the words have proven empty, and now the stones must speak. Also, the stone of the c’anunpa "speaks" if we are willing to listen, learn and live in harmony within the natural ways. When confronted with something sacred, like life, it is best to remember the wise words reportedly from Creator, articulated well in the writings of the Bible; "I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today, that I have placed life and death before you. the blessing and the malediction, and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring" (choose life that you might LIVE!) While the mystery of who were the first people to use stones for healing is debated we are content to acknowledge the indigenous ancestors of the entire world, many of whom understood it was their birthright that they were appointed by Creator to be caretakers of the earth. There are stone carvings and paintings serving to record ancient history of healing methods using stones on nearly every continent. Images painted on stones around the world from Egyptian pyramid walls to Inca and Aztec hieroglyphs explaining the use of stones for healing, from Cherokee crystal healers to Hawaiian Kahunas performing Lomi Lomi, from Australia’s Aborigine’s to the Sioux nations Inyan Pejuta (stone medicine or energy) workers, the world’s indigenous people have known that the gifts of wellness from the stones were abundant and available to all. Regardless of how you have viewed, carried, collected (coins, specimens, Black Hills gold, or gems in rings, jewelry, pottery, pocketbook, bank account) or walked stones within the landscape of your life in the past, if you have ever picked up a stone and carried it or it's abundant resources - you are a St8newalker. The majority of the "stuff" we "have" and "own", from cars to homes to every sort of tool, even including the computer we use now to share these ideas, are created from, "powered" from the abundant and subtle yet energetic gifts of stone nation. Now is the time to learn how to "walk" stones in a sacred manner in Harmony, Balance, Abundance and Peace for and with all our relations - Mitakuye Oyasin. St8newalker, a term used by the First Nations People of Canada and Native Americans of the United States who were members of the great "Sioux" Nation, described people who offered wellness techniques (healing) to humans and animals, plants and Mother Earth systems, with the assistance and use of the energy systems of stones. Indigenous people felt they served the stones with mobility by ‘walking’ them from place to place and offering their gifts to people who may have had a variety of physical, emotional and mental issues or needs, to help restore harmony, balance, abundance, peace and thus honor and restore wholeness within the gift of life. Mothers taught us early on, this is called "sharing." For St8ne Walkers today, we replace the "O" with the number 8 (8 representing the shape of our D.N.A., the circle of life, our oneness with all creation, as well as the symbol for eternity, and walking into the 8th Ceremony) to help educate about this abundance, the honoring of life, and we hope that in this re-spelling to help focus, think about, and differentiate those who walk the stones for oneness and harmony from those who walk the stones otherwise. St8newalker is one who comes from a great diversity of backgrounds and a long earth walk of experiences that have brought us here. Committed to offering the highest standard of education to those who wish to share in bringing balance (wellness) to the world through the proper use of stones (stuff), we hope to gather the unique abilities, wisdom, and resources of St8nwalkers world wide to network solutions and educate in ways of wellness for 8urselves, 8ur neighbors, 8ur nations, 8ur planet in oneness to benefit all our relations. While we are each totally unique, we are 8ne with the cosmos. We are neighbors with everything else created from star and planet to grass, seed, dirt and stone. Some members reside in the United States, others from countries across the globe, and from the HEART of the nation - the sacred Black Hills - we have begun this project and hope to join together many in bringing knowledge, understanding and awareness to implement life and lifestyles, ways of living and walking that honor and respect the diverse and sacred gifts of life. As this association grows we hope to provide for members a complete list of the now growing and founding board members, their biographical information, and web sites. However, we remind and request that each who contributes to this site (whether named or choosing to remain anonymous) remember that each life, each person is sacred and unique, and no matter how humble a station we hold in life, it is life (not possessions, stuff) that is the great gift, and how we walk in respect and harmony far outshines any worldly "accomplishments" or possessions of which society may boast. This organization is staffed by dedicated volunteers who are offering their time and knowledge to the world in hopes of protecting these ancient wisdoms of abundance from abuse by unethical individuals who have been around a long time working to threaten and destroy the validity and reality of wellness (harmony, balance, abundance, peace) work, attempting to undermine the sacred gifts of life, hoard the "stuff" of stones, feeding the belief that there is never enough, and in doing so have created tremendous imbalances and dis-ease of body mind spirit for themselves and others. Many alternative and complimentary, naturopathic and homeopathic practices, ceremonies and ceremony makers, "paper chiefs" and political movers and shakers, those who sell their self respect, family name, cultures and languages for mere "money" (money, by the way is "backed" by stone nation) and even those who "carry the sacred pipe" have been found out, some outlawed or regulated to their demise because out of balance individuals will often use dangerous or manipulative methods for mere financial gain. Our vision is loftier than this while we humbly and prayerfully learn productive ways to pick up and walk the simple stone in respect for Mitakuye Oyasin - all our relations and relationships. Thus Lakota Stone Nations' web site is made up of individuals, corporations and businesses from around the world who will offer back a small portion of the gifts of stones that they have already received to help protect the gift of life on our planet by growing this web site to support and bring together the wise, life nurturing, respectful ones left of current and indigenous cultures who work in consort in their effort to educate the public in ways to preserve and protect Mother Earth and her resources - starting with building respect for the humble, subtle, yet powerful feminine energies of life blood held within stone nation - Inyan Oyate. It seems that there is more than enough abundance for all, and the illusion of lack is just that - an illusion. Therefore, there is no need of competition or it's resultant self inflicted stress. We are seeking to open doors through the use of this web site for the purpose of networking among individuals, vendors, merchants, educators, businesses, corporations, practitioners, medicine people and therapists of every stone modality on the planet. It seems good sense that Mother Earth's stones are most happy when all of the St8newalkers once again recognize and walk in a way that acknowledges that are united - becoming again as Creator intended - one peaceful tribe! So, this web site is only a small start in that direction to make us all aware of the great potential and possibilities of 8ne-ness. As this site grows, we hope to include many more of the names, life ways, and practice of honorable St8nwalkers who give their respect, life energies, and support to the 8neness that help this association to grow and Mother Earth to thrive once again with all our relations living their unique diversity in harmony, balance, abundance and peace - Mitakuye Oyasin. If you value these ideals and principals, we ask you to join us. Share your ideas, web sites, links, related materials that you have learned, an/or your special gifts and resources to increase the understanding and practice of these simple but powerful principles. Harmony, Balance, Abundance, Peace. In addition, Lakota Stone Nations' goals are to gather up a portion of some of the abundance of the stones ripped from the sacred Black Hills and walk them back to help almost extinct earth and life honoring cultures so that their wise ones may organize to effect and teach this generation of human-kind to again walk in a sacred manner, living a new life-style combining many ancient wisdoms within the dominant existing culture so as to do no harm to each other, Mother Earth, and all our relations and thus help to preserve and restore life in all it's beauty and diversity. To join us please send back to the sacred Black Hills what you can. Email us with your wisdom, an inspiration thought, a teaching you have gleaned from stone nation, or please sent a portion of the abundance you have enjoyed by sharing it with us so that we may use it to nurture and support those who have their wisdom to share. All currency on Mother Earth is "backed" by stone nation, hundreds of millions of dollars worth of gold stock piled by governments came directly from these sacred lands. Perhaps it is now a good time for St8newalkers to walk a portion of this abundance back to these treaty lands to assist those who have much to share by way of their life experience not based on acquiring stuff, but sharing their wisdom. As we grow this site we hope to offer a number of Membership Benefits that we hope will include the ability to "walk back the gifts of stones" with online credit card access, thus giving us enough revenue to expand this web site with much more information relevant to these principles and as a first project, to publish a new book from a very large, old and well documented manuscript about the "Indian" version of the Battle of the Little Bighorn and it's main strategist and best well kept secret - Lakota Chief John Grass (the one who appointed Red Cloud, Crazy Horse, Sitting Bull to their already famous rank and rolls in history as Chiefs), wholesome and peaceful life honoring dream inspired music CDs for these times of transformation, and offer you a secure password access to our extensive and on-going educational sites, additional educational media and other life honoring resources around the globe. Your kind and generous contributions will not be forgotten. We would be most happy to include a link from Lakota Stone Nation to your site so that others may network and recognize your contribution to support these principles.
